This is Cynthia's 27th year as a professional artist. A versatile artist, Cynthia works in both oil and watercolor.  "Working with a variety of subjects, I find strong light, shadow and color inspire me to paint in what I describe as 'stylized realism'.  My paintings grab the viewer's attention and bring them into the excitement of the moment captured."   She has studied at Phoenix and Glendale Community Colleges, Arizona State University and with many well-known national and local artists.   In 1985, Cynthia opened a teaching studio/gallery where she and other prominent local artists share their knowledge and skills in classes and workshops.  As owner/operator Cynthia manages to combine instructor, picture framer and all the many responsibilities of running a small business with being an artist.   Her award-winning work has been in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States.  Corporate collectors include Wells Fargo Bank, Marriott Hotels, Shea Homes, Inc. and the Arizona Department of Corrections.   Cynthia is also a very sought after demonstrator and juror for many of the art groups in the southwest.  She continues to travel all over the world teaching workshops and sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm of the arts.
